As a Fletcher straightens the arrow, so the man of understanding makes straight the trembling unsteady mind, which is difficult to guard and difficult to restrain.

The Dhammapada

Full Moon Puja's

During the time of the Buddha it became a regular practice for all of the Buddha's disciples to gather together on the night of the full moon. We will be following the same tradition and will be meeting to meditate and practice together. When the temperature warms up we will be taking to the woods in Porthkerry Park where we will sit under the trees and stars by the fire. During the colder and wetter times we will hold the Puja's indoors at the Cardiff Buddhist Centre.
When we perform Puja we evoke through ritual, poetry, story and Mantra, different moods. These help us to engage, inspire and resonate with the qualities of enlightenment. Ritual has always carried deep significance and meaning to our lives, it is often used to mark special milestones along the way.
